COMMUNITY SCREENINGS

COMMUNITY SCREENINGS 25- 100 PEOPLE — DIGITAL & DVD

We know this film can have a significant impact in communities across the country and help make special education systems more culturally relevant and responsive. By hosting a screening, you will help us achieve our impact goal: to orchestrate over 100 screening events in the next year and foster conversations about how to make schools more welcoming to children with learning disabilities. (We are working on plans for a TAKE ACTION campaign – please sign up for newsletter and follow us on social media for updates.)

As you may know, any public screening of any film in its entirety requires a screening license and fee. Screening films without paying for the rights hurts all filmmakers thus we are providing some affordable options for community groups – parent and faith-based organizations, student groups, Facebook and Mom/Dad groups, etc. We’ve set up some standard screening options intended for FREE screenings only. We do allow donations to defray any costs incurred by an individual or non-profit organization. The screening packages can be purchased as a DIGITAL option or on DVD shipped by USPS. (Shipping will be added to the item during checkout). Each of the items below has specific details in their listings.

Options are: ·
Community Screening – 25 People – DVD or DIGITAL
Community Screening – 50 People – DVD or DIGITAL
Community Screening – 100 People – DVD or DIGITAL

But first, please fill out this form below with details of your organization and proposed event:

If you have never hosted a screening, there are several resources on the internet which can explain the basics – but the first steps are:
· Determine when
· And where – how many people can it seat, what kind of projection system is there?
· And how the film will be shown – via a DVD player or via a DIGITAL download via a laptop/device.

Find additional details in the items below. These items, when ordered, will transact from our distributor’s (Cinema Libre Studio) Gumroad account.

The film is 103 minutes. The DVD options include the following, while the digital version will include the toolkit only. The DIGITAL option is delivered by Dropbox and intended to be hosted on your institution’s server and made available to students in a manner not accessible to the general public.

The DVD includes:
– Trailer
– Closed captions in English. Also available are Spanish captions, and Portuguese subtitles
– Audio Description for the sight-impaired – Three bonus features
Toolkit:
– Press Notes with synopses, bios
– Film Stills + captions
– Transcript (English)

– Plus additional assets to help promote your event!

NOTE: We do require that each interested party fills out the above form before we finalize any materials.
